God’s best plans always ask us to put others ahead of ourselves.

In Christian marriage, romance is meant to thrive and flourish. After all, it was created by God. It’s all part of celebrating what God has given, becoming one with our mate while simultaneously pursuing purity and and holiness. In 1 Corinthians 7:2-4, the apostle Paul gives this principle for marriage: “Each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband. The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body but yields it to her husband. In the same way, the husband does not have authority over his own body but yields it to his wife.” God’s best plans always ask us to put others ahead of ourselves. Great sex doesn’t happen with a me-first attitude; it is the result of seeking to meet our spouse’s needs. And as a married person, you are the one called and designated by God to meet your spouse's needs. (content and questions adapted from NewSpring Church and The Love Dare)
